[HAUL] Downtown Camera + AAPI Print Sale

35mm and 120mm film from Downtown Camera

A giant Downtown Camera (DTC) box arrived today, filled with an un-cut roll of developed film, lots of 35mm and 120mm film + some free goodies :D

In April, DTC announced they had some cool new Yashica film so I bought a few of each kind. Included in the price was a free developing coupon + a $2 photo finishing coupon. Since I’m saving the other films to use later, I won’t get to take advantage of all the free developing but I thought I would use at least one of the coupons, so I sent in a roll of Yashica 400 Color.

I also placed an order for new film (they also just got in a bunch of Shanghai brand colour and black & white so I bought a few of those as well, plus more film to shoot this summer.

DTC is currently doing a promotion where if you spend $50 on film or developing, then they will give you a free expired roll. My order was over $100 so I got two, Kodak 100 Tmax and Arista EDU Ultra 100. I haven’t tried either of these film stocks yet (and they just expired this past February) so I am looking forward to the results.

I also received these lovely 5x7 prints from Vicky aka @millenialwithfilm. During the month of April, Vicky along with a few other Toronto/GTA photographers had an AAPI print sale, with 100% of proceeds going to Reel Asian and Kapisanan. She had the photos printed at Downtown Camera so I essentially got so many things from DTC today :D <3
